Our Partners
The Minnesota Board of Animal Health is the state agency responsible for safeguarding the health of domestic animals in the state. However, when a disease is found that threatens animal health or has the potential to affect animals and people, we do not respond alone. There are many other agencies, organizations and producer groups that play an important part.
The external links below provide supplemental information on animal and public health, disease prevention and eradication, and livestock agriculture.
One Health Collaborative
The health of humans, animals, and the environment is interconnected. Our efforts to protect Minnesota’s domestic animals have a ripple effect, because healthy animals lead to a cleaner environment and healthier people. We aren’t in this effort alone. The Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency all have equally responsible roles. Learn about the work we do to stop zoonotic diseases from moving between humans and animals by reading the fact sheets below. You can also visit the One Health website.
